Wireless Anzeige ❚ Wireless Congress 2022 »Start of the IoT revolution for the coming decade« Today the 19 th Wireless Congress Systems Applications starts in parallel with electronica For Helmut Adamski CEO and Chairman of the IP500 Alliance these are two ideal platforms at the same time in one place How important are electronica 2022 and Wireless Congress 2022 for the IP500 Alliance and its members? Helmut Adamski For the IP500 Alliance the Wireless Congress and electronica offer an ideal communication platform that allows us to present and discuss the key points and position of the IP500 wireless standard in exchange with the auditorium The proximity to electronica gives our members and partners the opportunity to directly coordinate with component manufacturers in the integration of the IP500 standard into their solutions In addition the Wireless Congress gives electronica visitors the opportunity to experience the latest trends and standards in the IoT and wireless environment How has the wireless market changed since the last electronica ? What impact have the current crises had? The wireless market has changed a lot especially in the last twelve months with end users realizing the advantages and disadvantages of the corresponding solutions in testing or in the field As a result some wireless solutions have become more firmly established in a particular application while others have had to withdraw from applications or are no longer relevant at all It is also clear that proprietary wireless solutions have not caught on Just last year the IP500 Alliance was able to clear the last hurdles to establish the entire IP500 Wireless IoT ecosystem for commercial and industrial buildings including redundancy of the IP500 infrastructure and conformity with security guidelines such as VdS Thus the IP500 standard is able to set a defacto wireless standard for this area It is now being adopted by many manufacturers and implemented in solutions The impact of the pandemic and the war cannot be ignored in supply chain issues At the same time the need for retrofit solutions for climate change and CO 2 footprint has increased As a result the IoT wireless bandwagon has also picked up steam for the IP500 Alliance as the breakthrough performance of the IP500 network – latency range robustness and security – makes it a more secure IoT wireless platform for commercial buildings What challenges are currently faced by companies using wireless technologies and the members of the IP500 Alliance? Obviously these are component supply issues when it comes to delivering IP500 products and solutions In addition the challenge is getting end users in commercial buildings to understand that some IoT wireless technologies are not suitable for large buildings and harsh industrial environments or realtime communication between sensors and actuators Some users are also seduced by the promises of Smart Home solutions and then try to install these Smart Home wireless standards effectively and safely in large buildings So our challenge is to inform users about such dangers and at the same time communicate the performance of the IP500 ecosystem for commercial and industrial properties in a timely manner This is where the Wireless Congress can make a big contribution What are the latest innovations of the IP500 Alliance and its members? These are clearly the achievement of EN and VdS security guidelines for the intru-IP500 at the Wireless Congress 2022 Two sessions with six presentations on IP500 are on the agenda of the 19 th Wireless Congress Systems Applications on the first day 16 November Time Title Speaker 14 00 – 14 30 Robust Secured wireless IoT networks for commercial building comform to EN VdS Helmut Adamski IP500 Alliance 14 30 – 15 00 How Lucknow IOT Park plans to make 220 million people of Uttar Pradesh Northern State of India happy and safe using robust IP500 wireless networks Vinay Agarwal Intercraft IOT Technologies 15 00 – 15 30 IoT Revolution for Commercial Buildings in Germany NN siganet GmbH 16 00 – 16 30 IP500 – Easy Integration in IoT Products – IP500 Eval-Kit Markus Austermayer Microchip 16 30 – 17 00 Real environment tests of IP500 Network Prof Dr Faouzi Derbel Hochschule für Technik Wirtschaft und Kultur Leipzig 17 00 – 17 30 Redundant IoT Infrastructure with fault tolerant data management for ALL IoT applications Hannes Bauer Microsens – Zech Group 17 30 – 18 00 Robust Secured wireless IoT networks for commercial building comform to VdS Hans-Juergen Schmitt PcVue sion area and currently this fall also for the fire area It also introduced the first IoT wireless infrastructure based on IP500 with full redundancy and endtoend encryption with dynamic key management Ultimately IP500 Alliance partners such as Microchip and CoreNetiX and OEMs such as Microsens Kingspan and Trilux unveiled a complete IP500 ecosystem at the Light+Building show revolutionizing all previous IoT wireless network performance metrics This includes a latency of about 20 ms at a range of 150 m and a data rate of 100 250 kbit s – and that in an exhibition hall with over 150 Wi-Fi Bluetooth and other sources of interference Thus the IP500 wireless IoT standard is the only standard that meets the security requirements and at the same time offers the performance to network all sensor and actuator applications with one and the same infrastructure The interview was conducted by Harry Schubert
